Nine States Get Green Light for MSME Boost

New Delhi, March 7, 2024: The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has approved the strategic investment plans (SIPs) of nine states, aiming to bolster the growth of MSMEs in the country.

  • Approved States: Meghalaya, Chandigarh, Tripura, Nagaland, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh join the list of states with approved SIPs.
  • Total Submissions: 25 states and union territories have submitted SIPs since the scheme's launch in 2022.
  • Scheme Goal: The SIPs aim to provide a roadmap for attracting investments, promoting specific sectors, and fostering an MSME-friendly ecosystem in each state.

This approval is expected to accelerate the growth of MSMEs in these states by providing them with much-needed support and resources.
