Adani Total Gas Kicks Off Biogas Production

  • Adani Total Gas, a leading energy company, has begun operations at its much-anticipated Barsana Biogas Project in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.
  • This marks a significant milestone for the company's foray into renewable energy production.
  • The project is built in phases, with Phase 1 currently operational. Upon full completion, it will be India's largest agri-waste based bio-CNG plant.
  • The plant utilizes advanced anaerobic digestion technology to convert organic materials like agricultural waste into clean-burning Compressed Biogas (CBG).
  • This not only reduces reliance on fossil fuels but also generates valuable organic fertilizer as a byproduct.
